Grading Categories - Grading will be different for Math Studies I and Math Studies II. In Math Studies I grades will be given using a straight points grading system.
1. Tests Ð Tests will count 100 pts. We will generally have a test at the end of each chapter, but longer chapters may have two.
2. Quizzes/Projects Ð Quizzes will count 25 points each. We will try to have a number of quizzes throughout the year. Quizzes will be used to determine classroom pacing and identify chapter weaknesses.
3. Homework- Homework sheets will be posted to the website at the beginning of each chapter. Students will be expected to keep up on assignments on their own pace. Assignments will be collected the next class period and will be graded on completeness. Each HW section will count for 5 point.
Mid-Term / Final Ð The final will count as 20% of your overall semester grade. The final will be comprehensive for each semester.
