To all who will remain,
Well, it is that time again, the end of the year. Everyone is signing yearbooks, letting out a sigh of relief that AP tests are over, and starting to cram for their finals. All of this leads up to that one half day where we go to all of our classes to see our grades and say our summer good-byes. For some of us, our good-byes are going to last longer than the summer.
As much as some of the seniors still deny it, we are graduating. That final day is no longer years, months, or weeks away. It is days away. On May 28th, the seniors are coming back one more time this year to walk across the Victory's stage and receive our diplomas. It is crazy how time has flown.
However, these last three years have been amazing. Our knowing all of you has impacted our lives in some way, and we hope that we have done the same for you.
To the Juniors: You guys are the "Top Dogs" around the school. You are now able to say, "Yes, I am going up one floor on the elevator because I am a senior." But don't let all the hype go to your head. Make sure that you watch out for all the "underlings". Most of all, ENJOY your senior year. There will be tons of stress, but it is all worth it in the end.
To the Sophomores: Congrats on surviving the rumored "hardest year" at Sig. You've made it, and now you are "upper-classmen." Now you really have to be an example to all of those below you. I know you can do it.
To the Freshmen: Though the seniors do not know all of you very well, we are glad that you came to Sig. Make sure you cherish your next three years and everyone you experience it with. This is the time of your life.
And a final note to everyone: Be nice to the incoming freshman. Yeah, they may be a pain, but you were in their place once too (and it isn't as long ago as some of you may think). Show them the ropes and help them out when they need it. They look up to all of you.
Saying good-bye is never easy, but the time has come. We all have to move on to the next step in our lives. For most it will be another year of high school. The rest of us, however, must move on with our lives. We will miss you, and we hope that we do not lose you forever. Take care of yourselves and each other.
"Here's to the nights we felt alive
Here's to the tears you knew you'd cry
Here's to good-bye tomorrow's gonna come too soon."
-Eve 6
Best of Luck,
