Post Prom

by: Lindsay Witte and Brittani Springmeyer

Prom is finally here. It can be such a memorable night but let's be honest; nobody wants to go home after prom. Sometimes the actual prom is not the best time of the night. Many times, the after party is where it is at! There are many safe and fun things that you and your friends can do after prom. Here are some of them:

  • Have a party at your own place or friends!
  • Glow Bowling!
  • Go to the late night movies! (North Side Theater is the location of Signature School's after party, there are seeing Prom Night, 21, and Horton Hears a Who)
  • Hit the Starbucks!
  • Rent some movies!
  • Game Night - Play with a group of friends and reward with prom themed gift.
  • Danceathon.

Junior Chris Brace stated that he is "probably going to after prom at the movies" and that he will" just hang out with [his] friends and have a good time". Valerie Shelton, a junior, decided to "go to IHOP with her friends." Junior John Hayden said that he "was going to go to after prom because he had never been before." When asked what Hayden would do if he wouldn't go to that after party, he stated that he "would go to Taco Bell". Some advice to prom goers and we know that you have heard this many times before but make sure that you stay safe. When teacher Erin Atkinson was asked about ideas for after prom, she said to make sure that you find "activities that are student friendly". She also added that not to" put yourself in danger" and make sure "to go someplace and stay there". Also, remember to as Ms. Knight has said many times before, "MAKE GOOD CHOICES". So don't be afraid to have fun, but make sure to be smart. Party Time!
