During the last few years, women have being going into the business world, and this is causing an increase of parents that are working together. In the past, men tended to open a business and often a wife helped, but he didn't always see her as his partner. Now, women are more entrepreneurial and recognizing that characteristic more in themselves than they used to.
Sometimes if a couple works together, it can affect the relationship. Based on chronicle.com, there is not an exact answer. For some people working with a spouse is a great experience. They are getting a chance to spend more time with them, they can totally trust the person they are working with, and they know when their partner is in trouble and needs help.
Being with someone who shares your professional interest, having the same schedule, and having the opportunity to share a car, is a great thing!
But in some cases, for some people, working with a spouse can be a problem. The first and most difficult thing is how to draw a line between work and home, or what to speak about when they arrive home because they already know everything.
What happens if one is the boss? Whose name goes first on a journal article they have written? Apparently all of these questions are children's stuff, but can seriously affect to the relationship.
Juniors Laura Fusconi and Constatin Grefe say, "We wouldn't like working together because in case of a fight is going to be bad both our working life and our personal one would be affected."
But not all the people think as they do, this would depend of the personality and situation that the couple is living.
